At the workshops, both natural light and business will be discussed. Natural light, and creativity will be heavily discussed…as well as business topics as well. Workshop participants will shoot, but they will observe Audrey photograph children and families alone. The images each particiapnt captures can be used for their individual portfolios.

You will see the images Audrey captures at the workshop right away. You will see the images captured right on the LCD of the camera, but she will upload the images that were captured that day and show them right out of the camera. Audrey will show all editing from beginning to end. No questions are off limits.

Some things that will be discussed…

..how to "see" the light both indoors and out. Everyone will shoot at high noon in full sun…weather permitting.

..nailing exposure IN camera.

..how to generate fantastic skintones IN camera, as well as sharp images.

..how to connect with your subjects to capture natural expressions.

..how to maintain creativity on location without cumbersome props.

..how to photograph individuals as well as families with apertures of f/2.0 and below.

..how to definite YOUR style

From a business perspective…

My personal workshops are the only workshops where I will talk business…in depth… nothing is held back. Some things I will touch on..

- ways to get your foot in the door and make a name for yourself in an over saturated market.

- proven marketing techniques and why they work. I will discuss my successes, and my failures and why.

- creating a buzz for you and your business.

- how to keep your clients coming back.

- In addition to shooting yourself, you will wat

- because everyone’s situation is different, I will give a 15 min one on one with each participant where they can talk about anything they would like.

- a personal critique of your work.

There isnt a prerequisite regarding the number of years in business or skill level. However, if you feel you are in a pretty good place with your work, and your business, then this workshop will not be a good fit.

For the Chicago workshops….

Illinois residents who are at least 150 miles outside of Chicago are permitted to attend. Photographers who live in the Chicagoland area are not permitted to attend due to the extensive amount of business information shared. Thank you for understanding!
